The 2007 NYE conference welcomed DECA members from every region of the U.S. and also from Canada, Mexico and American Samoa. The 2008 conference promises to be as just as fun, informative and popular as ever, so make your plans early to attend.

The DECA Sports and Entertainment Marketing Conference is an interactive experience that showcases the best from these marketing careers in an atmosphere that will delight every conference participant. DECA members who attend this conference will not only hear presentations from experts, but will get to participate in a focus-group type experience in the Universal Theme Park, while still having time to enjoy the fun of the park.  Tickets that come with the registration fee allow attendees to enjoy local entertainment and/or sports events.

DECA's extensive spectrun of classroom instructional programs, networking opportunities, leadership development and competitive excellence will converge at the 2009 State Leadership Conference in Norfolk, VA.


DECA members from 53 counties throughout the state will be in complete control as they view the opportunities of the DECA network through an expansive listing of channels. Our content will feature speakers from the marketing industry, leadership development activities, energy-packed general sessions, and competitive excellence seminars.  

The International Career Development Conference 
April 24 - April 27, 2010

The International Career Development Conference (ICDC) is the highlight of the DECA year for the approximately 15,000 members, advisors, businesspersons and alumni who attend. Most of the participants are at ICDC as competitors in one of DECA's competency–based competitive events. Top competitors in each event category are recognized for their outstanding achievements.

The DECA 5K Fun Run


DECA’s 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles) adds an exciting dimension to the 2010 International Career Development Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. Come for the exercise, come for the fellowship, come to win prizes! Beginning Saturday morning, April 24, on the grounds of the Kentucky Expo Center and ending at the entrance of Six Flags, this event will benefit MDA and DECA scholarships. All conference registrants are urged to participate—members, advisors, chaperones, spouses—all are welcome!

 Monday Night – Fourth Street Live!

Fourth Street Live! ss Louisville’s premier dining, entertainment and retail destination located on Fourth Street, in the heart of historic downtown Louisville, just a short walk from downtown hotels, waterfront park, Main Street, Slugger Field, and other major attractions. DECA’s “Monday Night Fourth Street Live” activity is designed to allow you to experience the uniqueness of this downtown Louisville area.

 

You can choose from a variety of restaurants, or grab something at the convenient food court. Shop major outlets and unique Louisville stories. Museums in the area will keep their doors open longer for DECA visitors. At near-by Slugger Field, you can catch a Louisville Bats baseball game Watch the Derby festival activities on the waterfront or jump on the Steamer Belle of Louisville, a National Historic Landmark, docked at the downtown Waterfront Park for a cruise down the beautiful Ohio River.

 

Whatever you choose to do in this hub of Louisville activity, you will long remember the unique flavor of this ICDC location.
