September - The district attended the Region 1 FLC. Broad Run and Stone Bridge held Battle of the Burn raising money for the Capital Area Food Bank. Stone Bridge is working on a Yankee Candle fundraiser.
Stone Bridge HS is spotlighted this month for raising $2500 in the Battle of the Burn.

September - The district held their annual Fall Rally and DECA member installation. Schools present were Sherando, James Wood, Millbrook, John Handley, Fauquier, Liberty and Kettle Run. Schools also attend the Region 1 FLC in Leesburg. Millbrook held their annual kickball game and cookout with FFA and FBLA on September 21st to kickoff the new year. Sherando hosted their annual Powder Puff game on September 13th at Sherando's Arrowhead Stadium. They also held their campaign drive to recruit members with t-shirts give aways.
Sherando is the spotlighted chapter this month.

September - Battlefied held officer installation and new member iniation. They also held Officer Training, a What Not to Wear Fashion Show for incoming freshman, Cancer Car Walk, Booth at Haymarket Day, Relay for Life, St. Jude's Book Drive, Football Pinkout Game, Dig Pink (Pinkout Volleyball Game, Worth It? Survey and Soda Tab collection for Ronald McDonald House. TC Williams held their DECA Kick-Off and had a booth at the Club Fair.
Spotlighted chaper is Battlefield for their tremendous efforts. They have held many successful events, all for great causes.

Robinson is the spotlighted chapter because Robinson has been a team of hardworking leaders who promote leadership, responsibility and professionalism where ever they go.

October - The district has had Fairfax DECA Days (September and October), a guest speaker from YOVOSO, participation in Homecoming Parades, DECA Tailgates, $2,000 profit earned from Entertainment book sales, walked in the NAMI Walk and MS Walk, guest speaker from MS, Fairfax made $7,000 from cooke sales, NAMI Week participation and assembly.
Fairfax HS is spotlighted this month for an all time high membership of over 450 members.

September - Marhall DECA had its kickoff during the second week of school. Each Marketing class played DECArdy which is a Marshall DECA version of Jeopardy. They gave out candy to people who answered correctly and the end, there was a drawing for Marshall DECA items. South Lakes has started the year off by holding its first DECA meeting. The chapter advisors provided snacks for everyone who attended. The chapter also started recruiting competitors for DLC and handed out study packets.
South Lakes is the spotlighted chapter because over the last few years the chapter has really grown in both size and involvement. They have gone from a chapter with barley 20 members to one with over 80 and they now include state and international competitors.

South County is the spotlighted chapter this month because they have a huge membership and an awesome community service project under their control. Many members are interested in both community service projects and competing the year. Many are signing up for DLC or completing manuals.

September - We raised money for the breast cancer society by selling a variety of pink ribbons with "Pin Away Your Pain." We also hosted ZumbaDance, admission was to bring a canned good for the National Honor Society. We contributed in a Cookie Fundraiser to raise money for our chapter. We did a raffle to celebrate National DECA Week.
