What is the Virginia DECA Foundation?

Today’s Marketing Students – Tomorrow’s Leaders

The Virginia DECA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to obtain contributions and to award scholarships to deserving marketing students who are members of Virginia DECA, in their pursuit of careers in marketing, managment, or entrepreneurship.

Who are We...

Since 1938, Virginia DECA has been providing young adults the opportunity to develop skills necessary for personal and profession success. A strong and long-standing partnership with the business and education community has allowed Virginia DECA to build one of the best programs in the nation.

Virginia DECA…

Is a marketing student organization with more than 14,000 members.
Has been the largest state association in the country for the last four years.
Helps VA marketing students prepare for careers in marketing, management, and entrepreneurship.
Increases awareness of civic obligations.
Develops poise and leadership skills.

When Was the Foundation Established...

The Virginia DECA Foundation was established in 2003 to provide community support to marketing studens as well as fund and award scholarship to DECA students.

Did You Know…

In 2008-2009 the Virginia marketing programs provided more than 20 different marketing courses to 34,000+ students in over 200 Virginia High Schools
Six thousand two-hundred eighty-six cooperative education Virginia marketing students earned over $26 million with 5,292 employers in 2008-2009.
