Financial Support

Scholarships are provided by the Virginia DECA Foundation.  VA DECA members interested in careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, management or Marketing Education may apply for a $1000 scholarship.  If you would like to help fund these scholarships please visit the VA DECA Foundation website.



Corporate Sponsors assist Virginia DECA members in many ways. Funding provided by businesses in Virginia assist with:

  • State Leadership Conference Competitive Events Costs
  • Funding student travel to conferences.

The Gift of Time

Chapters across the state are always looking for support from the community to assist as:

  • District Leadership Conference Judges
  • Guest Speakers
  • Advisory Board Members

The State Leadership Conference is held annually in Virginia Beach.  Plan to be part of the excitement as the best Virginia DECA competitors are named.  This year students will travel to Orlando, FL for the International Career Development Conference. 






Individuals that meet the following criteria will be considered:

1) Currently enrolled in a college, university, or technical school.
2) Are confirmed eligible by your former high school DECA advisor. 
3) Are available for orientation on March 3rd  at 8AM.  
​4) Can commit to the entire weekend of SLC.   (March 3 - March 5)

Those selected will receive housing with one other staff member at the DoubleTree.  This is a large conference with a lot to do.  Your meals will be provided for you as well as a conference shirts.  There is very little down time during the course of the conference.
