A Program of Leadership is a roadmap for the year — a set of goals our team is committed to achieving, along with key initiatives to help ensure success and track our progress. You can create a Program of Leadership at the chapter level too! It’s a great way to stay focused, build momentum, and make an impact in your school and community.

SERVICE
Services can support your DECA Officer Team for the 2026-2027 year. Encourage officers at the beginning of the year to strive for greatness to ensure that we Expand Our Horizons.
Virginia DECA's Serve Through 75 both raises money and promotes community service across the state. To be recognized at SLC, chapters must complete at least 75 hours of service or raise $75.
COMPETITION
In Virginia DECA, we want all chapters to feel supported, especially in competition. We also encourage your chapter officers to read this guidebook to help us achieve our goal of making Virginia DECA the best it can be!
We are going to expand Virginia DECA's presence in the space of competition to ensure every member has access to the resources to become the Next Big Thing. We are going to do this through videos and expanding DECA+ content. Our goal is to create an engaging and supportive environment where members can thrive by using technology across all platforms.

Community & Culture within DECA is vital; it transforms chapters into an unified, supportive, and professional ecosystem. When members, advisors, alumni, and chapters actively engage through communication and networking, benefits emerge. Shared resources and community can bridge chapter gaps and lead to collective growth that elevates every student's experience beyond what exists today, along with focusing on what is possible tomorrow.
