Ally Caudill

President

Dominion HS

Ally has been an active DECA member since her freshman year. She has competed at DLC, SLC, and ICDC and previously served as your Vice President of Hospitality. When she's not in a DECA blazer, she's running cross country and track & field or spending time with her family and friends. Ally also serves as an ambassador for a local Northern Virginia running store, Potomac River Running, where she helps to promote their brand to high school runners in her community. Within her school, she's a member of the French Honor Society, and Global Ambassadors. Ally is beyond thrilled to serve as your president this year, and she can't wait to see all of the amazing things Virginia DECA will achieve this year!

Ally Silas

Ally has been an enthusiastic DECA member since her freshman year and has previously served as her chapter's secretary & state Vice President of Leadership. She has competed every year at DLC, SLC, and ICDC, qualifying as an ICDC finalist each year. Outside of DECA, Ally is a varsity cheerleader and competitive hip-hop dancer. Additionally, she is President of Oakton's Codi's Hats, a club that sells, decorates, and donates hats to raise money for children with cancer. Through her hobby and small business, Art Positive Vibes, she raises money for DrawChange, an organization that provides art supplies to underprivileged children. She is thrilled to be serving as Virginia DECA's Vice President of Leadership again this year and can't wait for round 2!

O'Brian Martin

VP Marketing

Orange Co HS

O'Brian is a senior and extremely active member within his school by acting as Sporting Events Coordinator, Spirit Committee, Sports Announcer for all sporting events, Student Ambassador for Administrators, Master of Ceremonies for "Miss Orange County" and more. O'Brian has served as the VP of Hospitality of his chapter. He has had success at the State Fair, DLC, SLC, and ICDC and become fully immersed with DECA competition. He is proud to be the first African American from Orange County to be elected as a State Officer. Outside of school, O'Brian is a VHSL certified basketball official. You can also find him advocating for social change as he is deeply involved in politics working as an intern for candidates, knocking on doors, phone banking, and attending debates. O'Brian is excited to connect with all VA DECA members, as he serves on Team 76!

Zarif Hasan

VP Hospitality

Oakton HS

Zarif has been a passionate DECA member since his freshman year competing at DLC, SLC, and ICDC. He is proud to have served as a two-year chapter officer. During his junior year, Zarif served as both Vice President of Hospitality for his chapter and District 13 President. Outside of DECA, Zarif plays basketball and street hockey. Additionally, he is the Co-President of the Shark & Reef Club, Vice President of Codi's Hats, Vice President of Honor Council, and Chief Experience of Impact Through Action. He is also an active member of Best Buddies and the National Honor Society. Zarif is a Spanish tutor at Oakton High School as well as a member of the Teen Trendsetters program which helps elementary school students develop their reading skills. Some of Zarif's interests are animals, music, and traveling. He's beyond excited to serve as your Vice President of Hospitality and looks forward to connecting with members and making this the best year yet for Virginia DECA!

Michael Wandel

VP Career Development

Orange County HS

Michael is a senior who has been in DECA since his sophomore year. Since he joined he has attended all State Fair Days, Power Trips, DLC, SLC and ICDCs where he has found success in competition. After gaining the full DECA experience his sophomore year, Michael was chosen to lead his school store team as chapter VP of Finance. When he took over the store, he created many protocols for future store managers to follow. He won School POS Employee of the Year for 2020. Outside of school, Michael competes in local Bass fishing tournaments, loves music, american muscle cars, and traveling! Michael is excited to serve as one of the first State Officers from his school.

Anika Damaraju

Region 1 VP

Briar Woods HS

Anika is a junior and has been a passionate DECA member for 3 years and has competed at DLC, SLC and has qualified for ICDC. She has served as her Chapter's VP of Career Development where she has helped members prepare for competition and has organized chapter events. Beyond DECA, Anika is a part of the Briar Woods Cheer Team, Model UN, French Honor Society, Freshmen Transition Committee and Girl Scouts. Inspired by her time as a 2018 Virginia Senate Page, Anika further spends her time interning and volunteering on local campaigns. In her free time she loves traveling and meeting new people! Anika is beyond honored and excited to serve on State Action Team 76 and is looking forward to working with our amazing DECA members to make this year a great one!

Sara West

Region 2 VP

South County HS

Sara has been a passionate DECA members since freshman year and has served as an officer for her chapter. She has competed at DLC, SLC, and ICDC and hosted many community service events with her chapter. Outside of DECA, Sara spends her time as a volunteer tutor at a homeless shelter. She is a member of 5 honors societies, holding officer positions in two of them. Sara is also very involved in BBYO, her youth group, where she has served as VP of Membership and VP of Programming for two terms. She is so excited to be a member of SAT 76 and can't wait to get to know and network with members of Region 2 and all of Virginia DECA.

Troy Spillman

Region 3 VP

King George HS

Troy is a junior and has been an active DECA member since freshman year and has served as his chapter's Vice President of Finance. Troy has competed at DLC, SLC and attended ICDC. Outside of DECA Troy is a 4 sport athlete at King George High School as a member of the Varsity Golf, Cross Country, Indoor, and Outdoor Track teams. Troy is a member of the Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy. Troy also represents King George High School on the school board as the student representative. Troy cannot wait to work with Team 76 and represent Region 3! Let's take Virginia DECA to the Next Level!

Sarah-Michele Newton

Region 4 VP

Kecoughtan HS

Sarah-Michele is currently a senior and has been an active member of DECA since freshman year. She has held numerous leadership positions within her school's chapter, including Vice President and President. She has competed at districts, states, and has had the opportunity to attend ICDC. Freshman and junior year, Sarah-Michele was a state-finalist at SLC. Outside of DECA, Sarah-Michele enjoys playing volleyball for her school and club, volunteering at her local animal shelter, and volunteering at her mother's restaurant throughout the year. Sarah-Michele is very excited for what this year will bring with Team 76!

Georgia-Kathryn Duncan

Region 5 VP

Blacksburg HS

Georgia-Kathryn is a senior and has been a dedicated DECA member since her freshman year. She has previously served as a two-year chapter officer and enjoyed helping younger members grow their love for DECA. Competing at all levels, she has attended ICDC in Atlanta for THRIVE Academy and again in Orlando as a competitor. Apart from DECA, she participates in multiple honor societies and other clubs, including holding office as President of National Technical Honor Society and formerly representing the Student Council. She is a community-oriented small business owner and currently runs Beads By Georgia, which is sold online and in Blacksburg High School's School Based Enterprise. Georgia-Kathryn is incredibly proud of being from Southwest Virginia and cannot wait to serve as Region 5 Vice President on Team 76!
